Time Gal is a perfect conversion of the 1985 Taito arcade game!

In this Full Motion Video (FMV) game you get to play as mankind's last hope: Time Gal! In a distant future the evil Luda has stolen a time machine and is trying to alter past time lines to change the balance of power in his period and become the undisputed ruler. So far, so insane, so bad, but Time Gal has the ability to jump through time herself by using her time crystal! She is hot on Luda's trail through the past, the present and the future!

Time Gal is your basic Dragon's Lair-type game: actions are the four directions (up, down, left, right), a sword or laser button (depending on the situation - all six buttons can be tapped) and the time jump (pressing and holding any one of the six action buttons). When the time jump menu pops up you'll have to pick the correct destination or you'll die.

There are 16 levels from the ancient Jurassic age, through the Stone age, old Roman history, the year 666, the era of piracy, through World War I and II and into the near and distant space-age-future. Action is non-stop and fairly easy to follow but it does get pretty darn challenging later on!

Graphics are arcade perfect and fluent and switching between the various scenes is very smooth. A nice contrast to the disappointing conversions on SEGA-CD and Saturn! Sound is good but not of the richness as other LaserActive titles. Still, it adds to the game and helps with the overall gameplay.

Time Gal is one of the rarest LaserActive titles out there and its rarity combined with arcade-perfect gameplay make this a must-have disc!
