Some People...

Here is an interesting one! Normally I really couldn't care less but this guy rubbed me the wrong way with his bull.

I auctioned off some LaserActive discs on Ebay and I had some Email problems for almost 4 days (the joys of running my own server out of the basement). Right at the beginning of this my auctions for the LaserActive discs ended and when I finally retrieved all my email I found this gem:

It has been more than 82 hours since the end of these two auctions with no response from you.  Below is a copy of my original email message delivered and ignored by you.  This is only the second time since bidding on eBay that a seller has for whatever excuse, laziness, or disrespect not answered email or man or woman enough to followup on the end of their auctions.  I have checked your feedback and you have had problems, you claim, with ISP.  Get off it.  You know when your auctions expire.  You could take the initiative and have the common courtesy to email winning buyers.  Excuse makers and Whiners are two people I will not deal with.   For whatever your reason or reasons you have not contacted me.  I do not want to transact any business with you.  You have already shown what kind of a person you are.   I will post negative feedback this evening after the 96th hour since the two auctions have ended.  Please, Please do not answer this email with an EXCUSE

Wow, what's up with this dude? I smell trouble... Well, he won two of my discs fair and square so I sent Mr. X three emails asking him if he was still interested in the discs, here the first one (all the forwards within the emails removed):

Hi X,

since you don't want to hear an excuse I won't give one. :)
If you are still interested in completing this transaction I will be delighted to do so. Yes, I can combine both discs into one package, shipping comes to $6 for both games, the grand total is $40. I accept personal checks, money orders or PayPal (for XXX, last name is XXX).

Thanks for your patience,
    -Hans

And another one:

Still interested?

At this point I figured it was time to bait him:

Hi X,

last call for the two discs below, if I don't hear back from you by the end of day tomorrow these discs will be relisted or sold to the next highest bidder.
If you have the common courtesy that you demand for yourself below please let me know if you're still interested - thanks!

Cheers,

Bait worked and I got this email back:

Mr. Reutter,  I received your email of the February 13th, 14th, & 15th (this one).  I can't understand why it bothers you if someone does not answer your email or emails.   Isn't this just what you do?  Common courtesy is not something you display.

:) He must be one of these whiny ultra-anal guys ('well you did the same to me...') So my reply was:

Dear X,

I think there is a difference between not answering emails because of technical difficulties (my case) and not answering emails because of whatever your reasons are. If you are still interested in the discs please let me know. However at this point I do assume that your answer is no - correct?

I simply fail to understand why you are so hostile, you've seen my Ebay feedback and it should clearly show my good reputation. But don't worry, I won't bother you again.

Have a really nice day!

More to come??? We'll see... probably best to ignore him before he blows a vessel or something.
